Tsunami Hits Hawaii and Earthquake Hits Chile

I dont know about you but I am starting to believe that maybe this 2012 thing might just becoming true. With the amount of natural disasters that have been happening in the last 4 years is not reassuring.

Once again another earthquake has it, but this time it is in Chile!!! And Hawaii just got the first waves of a tsunami!!!


"A tsunami triggered by an earthquake in Chile swept ashore in Hawaii on Saturday, but the initial waves did not appear to cause significant damage. " says MSNBC. The earthquake in Chile was rated an 8.8!!!

They are saying that Hawaii has dodged a bullet but the warning is still up.

Though Hawaii is alright (for now) Chile has so far reported 147 people dead because of this earthquake.
"The quake struck at 3:34 a.m. (1:34 a.m. ET) off the Pacific coast at a depth of nearly 22 miles (35 km) and about 60 miles (100 km) northwest of Chillan, Chile, the USGS said. Santiago, the capital, is 200 miles (325 km) northeast of the epicenter.

At least 33 aftershocks were reported, including a 6.3-magnitude in Argentina.

"There are really aftershocks like every hour," said Felipe Baytelman, speaking to CNN from Santiago."-CNN

As well as for Japan and Alaska, they are on a warning as well, but they don't think it will hit them.
