{Cadies & Kisses} Fast Five Movie Review

Last night Tia and I went to go see Fast Five. Though, I have to admit, that at first that I was skeptical to see the movie (because of Tokyo Drift) I was also excited. From the trailers I had seen I knew that the graphics and stunts would be AMAZE!

So with popcorn and hotdogs in hand, Tia and I sat down for what could be the best action movie of the year. I was at the edge of my seat the entire movie. I mean, when you put hotties like Tyrese, Paul Walker and Vin Diesel together, how could you not be at the edge of your seat. But even without the hotties the movie was fantastic. They truly brought their A game when it came to this film.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had me dying with his witty one liners and please when watching this movie, notice that regardless of what is going on he is always oiled up or sweaty. :p

Definitely a hit with us!!!!

{Candies & Kisses} Red Riding Hood Review

This past Wednesday, I had the opportunity to go to the pre-screening of Red Riding Hood as well as meet the director, Catherine Hardwicke (who also directed the first Twilight film and Thirteen). Let me just start off by saying that the film is crazy good.

What you would think would be the story line, isnt. There lots of twists and turns and an outcome that I definitelty didnt see coming. And just the way the film was made is captivating. Amanda Seyfried s spell binding and really fits the part and of course the guys are GORG.

I would recommend everyone go see the film!!!

{Candies & Kisses} Face Atelier Ultra Foundation Review

Back again with yet another great product for review, Face Atelier's Ultra Foundation.... take a look see at what I have to say.

Now that you know what I think, here are some facts about the Ultra Foundation. First, the most important fact is that the foundation is OIL FREE, FRAGRANCE FREE, and NON-COMEDOGENIC.  The key ingredients in this bottle of joy cyclomethicane, which fills lines and provides skin adehesion, and glycerin, which hydrates and binds moisture to skin.
There are ten shades and two unique color adjusters (Zero Minus and Zero Plus) for lighting and darkening the foundation. They basically have made it where you can make your perfect shade (how thoughtful).

Pros:

  • buildable
  • face can breathe
  • very natural looking
  • lasts all day
Cons:

  • Only comes in 30 ml bottle :(
  • not sold in Sephora, so you have to order
As you can see I pretty much love this foundation, and I would recommend to all women of all age groups because its light enough for the younger ladies, but gives enough coverage and is buildable for older women.

You can find the Ultra Foundation at www.faceatelier.com.

{Candies & Kisses} Sedona Lace 12 Piece Brush Set

I have been waiting to do this review on the Sedona Lace 12 Piece Brush Set and I am excited that I can finally share with all of you.

Sedona Lace is a cosmetics company based in Florida that sells many products similar to Coastal Scents and Sigma....however, the difference (at least the major one) is the price and the customer service. Though the package took a long time to get to me, whenever I emailed customer service I got a response back within the hour or the same day.

I am totally in love with the brushes....check em out!

Part 1

Part 2

Honestly through watching other reviews these brushes seem to be better than MACs because they are more dense. There is barely any fallout and they are just superb.

So to buy visit Sedona Lace and to get $4 off type in the promo code: Suzanna or Therealkingbob

and make sure to follow @SedonaLace on twitter.

{Candies & Kisses} Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

You guys remember my video on Liz Earle's Botanical Shine Shampoo and Conditioner?! Well they sent me their Hot Cloth Cleanser to try out! I was excited to use the Hot Cloth Cleanser because the shampoo and conditioner is just soooo good.

Before I get into the review, I want you all to know a little about the cleanser and how to use it. When you order the cleanser you will recieve a nicely wrapped pastel green pouch. When opening the pouch you will see the actual cleanser, two muslin cloths, a booklet about 15 reasons to love the "Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser", and a directional card. And you are probably wondering why there is a directional card. Well this not a normal cleaner, the foundation of this cleanser  is made from rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter, and eucalyptus. So you dont just put it on then rinse.

So basically how you use the cleanser is by 1, filling a basin or bowl with hot water; 2, apply one or two pumps of the cleanser to DRY skin, and massaging into your face; 3, rinse the muslin cloth in the hot water and wring it out till damp; 4, then use the damp cloth to wipe the cleanser off your face; 5, rinse face with cold water. And do this once in the morning and once at night.

I have been using the Cleanse and Polish Hor Cloth Cleanser for about 3 weeks now and I love it! My skin is more clear and radiant. I would recommend the cleanser for everyone with every skin type, because there is only natural ingredients making it good for your face. My skin feels and looks healthy and I am so in love. Really, I just have more faith in the company Liz Earle.

You can find the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and other great products from Liz Earle.

{Candies & Kisses} The Next Three Days

I am a huge fan of action-thriller movies and The Next Three Days is just that. I was real excited to see this movie, hoping it wouldn't disappoint. And really it didn't. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time wondering how John, Russell Crow's character, would get his wife out of prison.

I enjoyed the little twist at the end of the movie when we find out if his wife had done the crime she was put away for, but I don't want to say too much. It wasnt the best action film I have ever seen, but it did leave me satisfied at the end of it all. And I am glad to say I felt happy at the end of the movie, because as of late I have been watching movies where the ending is dreadful and leaves me confused or hanging, but this didn't do that.

Definitely a must see.

{Candies & Kisses} Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Review & Giveaway

I'm back with another review this week. Since my laptop is currently broken, I had to catch up on my reviews. Today's review is on Juice Beauty's Green Apple Peel.

But let me give you some backgrounds info on the company.  The company is based out San Fran and believes in only using CERTIFIED organic ingredients. Which is major because you are guaranteed no crazy chemically enhanced ingredients. And their products really work!

So make sure to head over to Juice Beauty and buy some products that are good for you!

{Candies & Kisses} Due Date

I love Robert Downey Jr. and I love that guy from The Hangover. What's his name... Zach Galifianakis, funny guy. Anyway, so when the trailer for Due Date originally came out I was soooo excited. And now that I have watched it you get to read what I think...but before all that here is the trailer ( just in case you don't remember).

Funny right?! Well yeah it is! I loved this movie...(don't lie you thought I was going to say it wasn't funny). Zach G. had me dying and Robert Downy Jr. was crazy. I felt bad for the french bulldog though. Basically the story is about Peter, Robert Downy Jr, trying to get from ATL to LA in time for the birth of his child. As soon as he meets... this is sad I forgot Zach's character's name but I remember the dog's name....as soon as he meets Ethan Tremblay his trip goes from pleasant to disaster and it's hilarious. I don't want to give too much away. But I highly suggest if you are looking for good laugh, watch Due Date.

Yumm Yumm: The Fish Store

Yesterday, my hun, Tia, and I decided to go to a little restaurant called, "The Fish Store." Robel had been  raving about this place, in Little Italy, for about a week and said we had to go. I am not that big on fish, but I thought if it's really that good, I'll try it.

The Fish Store has been in all kinds of newspapers and websites for being the #1 sandwich spot in Toronto...and I have to concur. This place was delish to a whole new level. It's a cute little place, really made for outdoor eatting since it only has two tables in the store. But even I would go through wind and cold to eat the salmon sandwich.

When you  walk in you are greeted by a buffet of FRESH fish, whites and reds. And everything is made right in front of you. Robel and I had the wild salmon sandwich, this sandwich is what the place if famous for, and Tia had the talapia sandwich, which she said was equally just as good.

Mine was gone in a matter or minutes with everyone else following. The sandwiches are about $9 each and filling. I love this place and recommend everyone in Toronto or visiting Toronto try it...you'll get hooked. :)

Bon Apetite,

{Candies & Kisses} It Cosmetics- Bye Bye Pores

I have another product from It Cosmetics that I got the opportunity to do a review on. This time it's on Bye Bye Pores. Bye Bye Pores is an HD Finishing Powder. What it is supposed to do is literally make you look as if you have no flaws, especially pores.

Like Bye Bye Under Eye, Bye Bye Pores was developed with the leading plastic surgeons. The powder is enriched with Vitamins A, C, E, & K. as well as real silk. This is to give an airbrush look...and that it does.
"Plus it’s Talc-Free! The talc particle, which is the main ingredient in most powders, is square shaped which clings to fine lines and wrinkles when applied, making the skin look drier and older. Bye Bye Pores utilizes spherical technology in the form of silica which is a round particle designed to float on the skin and blur out all imperfections. Plus it absorbs oil and gives a matte, airbrushed look all day long!"

I really like this powder because it does make your makeup look airbrushed and even, as long as you don't put too much on. The only thing I didn't use when trying out this product was the applicator puff, and that was because it absorbs the powder too much for me. So I used a brush to apply it.

The case is plastic so you need not worry about dropping it and it breaking. The only thing for me, is it is a little messy, but that could just be me. Overall I do like this product and still use it, almost everyday.

Now this could be purchased at www.itcosmetics.com or on The Shopping Channel for just $24.

{Candies & Kisses} HereAfter

Can't wait to see this movie right? It looks sick?! Yeah don't let the cover fool you. I went to go see this movie early this week and it was much less than what I had expected.

It was two DREADFULLY long hours of pure boredom. What looks like would be an action packed film was the exact opposite, I honestly don't know what Matt Damon was thinking when signing on for this movie.

The movie is about a psychic named George, who can relay messages from the dead to the living, and his path of trying to find a life without his gift and a companion who could understand it. As enticing as the story line may sound, it honestly it is not worth seeing. The only reason why I stayed in the movie was because I was hoping it would get better...but nope I was S.O.L. I only liked the previews.

{Candies & Kisses} It Cosmetics, Bye Bye Under Eye Review

Don't you hate it when the concealor you buy just doesn't give you enough coverage no matter how much you out on?! Yeah, me too :( Well luckily there is a product out there that can end your concealer sorrows, and that product is called Bye Bye Under Eye, by IT Cosmetics.

This tube of happiness literally makes those dark circles under your eyes just vanish and surprisngly with the tiniest amount. And I knew that once I had heard that this specific concealor is used for patience who had plastic surgery, I had to have it. I mean com'on if it can take the bruising away for those patients it can definitely do something for my dark circles.

And after I had tried, I was truely amazed. And for being winner of the best concealer on totalbeauty.com, it really pulled it's weight. The concealer is enriched with Vitamins C & K and Hydro-Collage. Did I mention it is waterproof too!

It's a perfect buy for those of you out there in search for the best concealer and I definelty will be using this  from now on. Bye Bye Under Eye can be purchased from http://www.itcosmetics.com/ or on The Shopping Channel.

{Candies & Kisses} The Secretariat

I am a huge fan of animal movies. So of course I was delighted to see The Secretariat. I was very impressed with the movie.  This phenomenal true story is about Penny Chenery Tweedy and her stallion winning  the Triple Crown. The movie takes us through the trials and tribulations of getting ready for big horse races as well with a horse who wasn't supposed to do as well as he did.

I thought the movie was wonderful, as long as you enjoy animal movies. Surprisingly, my mister (whom I had to beg to come see it with me) liked the film and was inspired to start placing bets on horses...lol. Diane Lane looked wonderful in the movie and did a great job as the character of Penny. And John Malkovich was hilarious.

Definitely a must see of 2010.

{Candies & Kisses} The Town vs. The Social Network

Being the movie buff that I am, this week I went to catch up on some movies I hadn't seen. Went to Varsity and saw The Town and then last night I went with Tia, my hun, and his brother to go see The Sociak Network.

Let me start off with The Town...

The movie was EXCELLENT. I almost wanted to cry, that it had ended. If you don't like this movie you are stupid and if you haven't seen it you might be more stupid...lol...seriously. It was a crazy film, never a boring moment, you felt like you were in the movie. I mean the acting was great, never felt like it was acting...and the story line, ridiculous!! I loved the twists and turns of the movie and the cast was phenomenal.

I am not going to get into the story line because eveyone just NEEDS TO SEE IT!

As for The Social Network...

The Social Network was a crazy movie, I will admit I fell asleep for a about 15 minutes during the course of it, but only because I am an early sleeper and it didnt have enough action for me to not fall asleep, but had it been earlier in the day I would have not done so.

Anyways I can say I loved it because I got to see how facebook was created, and Mark lost friends in the process. This movie is not as fantastic as The Town, but still a must see.

So The Town wins obviously, and eveyone should go see both, but The Town twice.
